Global partners will be holding a series of 4 workshops in 2007 to explore the issues and foster debate amongst interested people. The first of these is being held in Manchester, UK in February, and subsequent workshops will be held in Latin America, Africa and Asia. The Opportunities and Challenges for Freedom of Expression seminar brought together 32 civil society activists, journalists and communications experts to explore freedom of expression issues the networked communications environment, with a focus on Europe.
