The Freedom of Expression Project

Geoffrey Pakiam graduated in 2006 with an MSc in Development Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. Prior to this he obtained his first degree in Social and Political Sciences from the University of Cambridge. Geoff has worked on-site in a wide variety of social projects. Past projects include contributing to capacity-building initiatives in remote Australian rural communities, as well as focusing on improving local governance mechanisms in the Ugandan charity sector. He currently works in Singapore as a freelance writer with a particular interest in social issues and current affairs. In his spare time he is an avid documentary photographer.
